Rucking Drills & Skills, week 1.
Today we look at winning the race. There have been a few Cards in recent games from technical issues, from not wrapping arms, coming off feet or contact to the head. I'm just looking today to try and win the race to ensure we get there before the Jackler so there's no need to come from distance.
Other issues will arise and we will have to come in and help but today we will just focus on speed to position and 3 drills to help us train when we are on our own.
Todays focus is:
- Speed off the floor or follownthe pass into the ruck
- dropping height using the idea of landing the plane (using your hand to touch down).
These drills are nice and basic, take your time between reps so we can practise your technique and stay in control of our body.
